If, like me, you're in a department that doesn't matter to the executives whatsoever you will quickly see that it's exactly like every other corporation. Management actively makes decisions that make my position more difficult and don't even get the same benefits as any other operations department. Promotions are only possibly up to a certain level, after that every management position is hired externally.
