A Careless Company

They hired smart, driven, and caring people.The benefits are good.

Cons

Leadership is a joke. Employees do not feel comfortable communicating with management. The management team does not seem to care about employees, customers, or education. The atmosphere has become very negative over the last year. As a result, the company has lost over half the sales team. Goals, commission structure, territories, and even desk assignments have changed each quarter.

Pros

Promethean is a great place to work if you are a dedicated, hard worker, who is ready to be apart of a great team. The managers are flexible and understanding- which makes employees look forward to coming to work each day. It is definitely a company that will find a place where you will shine and has great opportunity for recognition and growth for those who work hard. Also, the benefits are great and the manager of my department is very flexible regarding your schedule. Manager also offers many incentives and spiffs- some of which are for just meeting/going slightly above expectations.

Cons

Like any organization, not everything can be perfect- commission is impossible to calculate and quotas are not always realistic. And like any sales organization, when goals are not being met, you may have to shift gears- but if you communicate with your managers, they typically will guide you through the changes and be understanding as you adjust to new circumstances.

Great PTO Plan and benefits, flexible work schedule, friendly coworkers, nice work environment, great location, fun products

Cons

manger is hardly ever in the office, regional coordinators have little sales expereince but are suppose to lead and mentor the inside sales reps, promotions are based on friendships with the manager and not on merit, no repercussions for employees that don't do their job, very difficult to calculate commission
