Pros

Great work-life balance (typical weeks are 40-45 hours) People are mostly really nice, smart, and easy going The work is interesting and meaningful Good opportunities to advance Relatively flat structure with collaborative teams Remote work options for most employees

Cons

HR painful to work with Comp lower than market (but hours are lower too)

Pros

See the results of your efforts in a small company, direct communication with executive and management teams. Little to no politics and all feedback is professional and handled in a positive manner. Smart, enthusiastic co-workers who truly seem to like to work with each other. Generous paid time off starting year one and lots of company provided food (lunches, snacks and drinks).

Cons

Smaller companies come with more limited/expensive benefits policies.

Pros

The management team are smart, open-minded, and supportive. The staff are an energetic, fun, talented, hard-working, and diverse group. The business is growing through thoughtful and strategic planning, fueled by detailed research. The clients are people who work hard with passion to help people and improve the world around them. The people and the work make this a very satisfying place to be every day.

Cons

The company is small but growing at a measured pace, adding only the best people. This means that sometimes there is a lot to do. But management listens and does what it can to make sure people don't get burned out or feel overburdened. This is not the place to work if you are not self-directed and motivated. Laziness and sloppy work will stick out like a sore thumb here.
