Too Much Turnover

Pros

It's a cool product to sell and there are no capped commissions

Cons

There is too much turnover. Just in the last 6 months 20+ people have left. I think it has something to do with management and no real possibility of upward movement within the company.

Pros

The company offers standard benefits. The colleagues are pleasant. They offer free beverages and dry cleaning services. Occasional work-from-home option is allowed by certain groups.

Cons

The culture is very bad. Too many silos and functional groups do not collaborate or help each other. The company conducts surprise lay-offs of really smart, capable and solid contributors. It hires senior level management only to have them focused on junior level/tactical work. No opportunity for advancement unless you leave and come back.

Pros

None. Avoid Like the Plague. SELL if you own.

Cons

1. Regular layoffs 2. 'Competitive Pay' that isn't 3. Pathetic Equity Rewards 4. Even hired as remote, if you live within 25 miles of an office, you will have to go in to the office 3x a week. 5. C-suite turnover 6. Meeting Hell. Do you like to hear quarterly sales meetings? Live and die for the run to IPO. This is the company for you. 7. Unclear direction, hellishly duplication of code and responsibilities as Proofpoint tries to acquire its way to relevance. 8. They WILL fire/lay you off after FMLA. It happened to me. One month after returning from FMLA, I was laid off. 9. They talk a good line about work life balance but will make you show at 4 am on a Saturday for a release. 10. Interview process contains no actual filtering for talent or ability and managers give no poor feedback. So everything is fine until you get laid off.
