Pros

Proofpoint has great products, good pay and excellent stock. Most employees are collaborative and solutions oriented. Flexible work schedules and freedom to work from home.

Cons

Sexism, abusive behavior and incompetence are tolerated - especially in employees who were with the company pre-IPO. There is a lot of in-fighting and agendas in upper management that is not addressed or resolved. No 401K matching. Company is very no frills with spending and office environment.

Pros

There's a variety of food trucks that come onsite. However, they need to bring on healthier options for their employees.

Cons

There is a reason why employees only stay at Proofpoint for 1 year or less. It really comes down to the management style and how recruiting coordinators are being treated. The worst feeling is when a manager makes you feel invaluable and that you are replaceable. At times, many of my colleagues felt afraid to approach the manager. Proofpoint is an environment where you can put your head down and work, but never feel happy.

Pros

Products are solid and the people on the ground are fantastic colleagues. Sales leadership is the only solid team left.

Cons

Proofpoint used to be a great place to work. We had a great work life balance, good leadership and a strong community of people. Things started to fall apart back in November when new leadership started coming in. The entire company culture shifted. People started leaving, new leadership didn't care and the ones left behind just got more work piled on them. We have a serious problem with bringing in new people to backfill these roles. Revenue is suffering. The only good part of working in sales is our leadership from the CRO, SVP's and down the line. If you are looking for a career at Proofpoint, I would wait to see if the dust settles...but I doubt it will.
