Pros

Fantastic healthcare benefits. These include not just full basic health coverage, but full vision and full basic dental. They offer an employee kitchen and fridge stocked with snacks and drinks.

Cons

You'll need a sales-driven mentality to succeed. Even though it is not a sales job, if you aren't constantly out-doing other teams (or your own teammates) in the amount of loans verified, your work is not valued. Essentially, even if you meet and exceed your goal, if someone else did more, then they imply that you didn't do enough. It results in employees feeling like nothing they do is ever good enough unless they've outdone everyone else.

Pros

Benefits Nice new office Good location in downtown SF

Cons

The engeneering department is a mess. Upper management has no idea what they are doing. Engineers are basically making decisions on how the product should work because the product team doesnt do their job. It is encouraged for engineers not to write tests which creates a very fragile code base. Upper management imposes impossible deadlines.

Thank you for your review and comments. We experienced dramatic growth last year and are on track for more growth this year. This growth is exciting, but also has presented challenges in scaling and talent acquisition. I assure you that upper management has an "idea what they are doing." We are working to build world-class engineering and product teams that are right-sized to the tasks assigned them, and have the skills to handle shoring up existing systems, scaling for growth, and developing new products for the future. The pace at which we are working has been aggressive and it's definitely not for everyone. We are rewriting our entire platform and working to do it during a period of hyper growth. The engineering and product teams here have achieved great success recently and we appreciate and value immensely the work that they do. We’ve doubled the engineering team this year. We have many more to hire and big goals in terms of platform changes and new products.

Pros

-Benefits -Unlimited PTO -Amazing office (with a great view over the Bay)

Cons

Management has had ample time to get the house in order but is simply failing across the board. The problems will persist until that happens, regardless of external factors such as market conditions and investor demand. The office environment is toxic as a result, and is amplified by the company's notorious "firing culture". Instead of constantly turning over the employee base in an attempt to improve inefficiencies, might be time to take a long hard look at the situation and make adjustments where it will actually have an impact (i.e. executive management). The CTO is extremely pompous and arrogant, and I truly feel for the many people under his reign. HR is also in need of a revamp. Building a brand is not only the responsibility of the marketing dept (who is doing a phenomenal job btw, go Cheryl). HR should be focused on this as well if they want to attract top talent, but the fact that they are not speaks volumes. It's 2016, time to wake up. Now might be a good time to start building that company "culture" you so often speak of as well. As far as your employees are concerned it doesn't exist.
