* Flexible work-from-home * Some projects are interesting to work on * Amazing people, genuinely good-hearted and well-intentioned people at all levels * Good culture around openness, embracing different cultures and ideas. Prosper does put the people who work there first. * Salaries are adequate, not great but not bad.
Cons
* Too much of a help-desk mentality from Engineers * Silos are prevalent at Prosper. To get work done you must cross many silos, which results in slow down and frustration * Culture does not encourage working or helping on projects that are not directly associated with making your manager look good * Help Desk Mentality for DevOps * If people are first at Prosper, the ability to get work done is last. * For a company this size, there are way too many layers of management.
