Pros

My manager was very open to hiring people without previous banking experience, so it was a great pro to get foot into door of the banking industry, but other managers will often look for previous banking experience even for entry-level

Cons

Company as a whole is very old-fashioned (technology, procedures, etc) Not much room to move up or clear standards to get raises

Pros

Great culture/environment, very friendly Benefits are good Everyone is very understanding about home life getting in the way and have to schedule around stuff. Great for the working mom.

Cons

Pay raises are a joke like most low end retail jobs and promotions don't come by often. Can be stressful when dealing with a lot of customers, or just one angry customer, because everything has to be done a certain way to protect customer privacy and bank security.
