Pros
Fun people and a good attitude towards work-life experience make Protiviti a good place to start a career. Starting salary is usually comparable to Big 4 and the benefits are up there as well (especially now they have a limited 401k match).
Cons
Experienced hires make more than those who were promoted internally. Managers and Senior Managers are often too concerned with selling and lack focus on their multiple engagements, making it difficult on seniors. Clients are starting to slow during 2009, meaning a lot of seniors and consultants are "on the bench" and not working on clients, which is tough. Seasonality can be rough.
