Pros

family feel. learn the pre registration job and go elsewhere.

Cons

Must brown nose to move up. Major micro managing, I mean daily. Managers watch everything you do, how many times your going to bathroom. honestly it is very sad how under paid we are as pre registration. Other companies pay way more for same position.

Rgistered Nurse

Pros

St. Jude is an amazing place to work in the beginning. The staff there is what really keeps a person working there even when everything else is awful. They have a lot of certifications and are excellent at getting you to believe they put patients and staff first.

Cons

Management is very self serving. In the beginning they treat you like a star and a valuable employee but as time goes on and as newer, cheaper nurses start, you begin to get treated like dirt. They demand countless hours of unnecessary education and training in addition to your regular work hours. They want you to come in on days off for training. Will write you up is training is eve 1 day late. Another downfall is the pay. This hospital pays less than most hospitals in the region. Even for advanced degrees, you wont work here for the pay. On the patient side, I've overheard nurses telling patients in the ER that they are faking their illness and telling them to leave. On one occasion a patient did lave and went to another hospital and was admitted. This hospital claims to be non-profit but profit is all they really care about.
