You receive a lot of PTO but you also have to use it for your holidays. The management needs a complete overhaul they treat every examiner different. They pit the examiners against the auditors supervisor doesn’t have your back when it comes to rebuttals. Extremely low pay for the amount of work required No growth potential once your in claims you’re stuck Old dos system

Pros

The pay is appropriate for the area.

Cons

At Providence St. Vincent's you are treated like a number and floated all over the whole hospital so that the CNO can get her bonus to admit more patients. They do not protect employees from harassment in every form, and do not offer any support to staff. Don't even bother contacting the union because all they do is collect your dues and pander to the company. You have no voice, no say, no rights, and receive no respect. Providence will screw you over in a heart beat to save a few dollars. Payroll will not give you your raises unless you implicitly call them about it, and there have been several times when PTO time has been not recorded correctly. Lastly, the nepotism is so flagrant that people who are blatantly unqualified are brought in and those who have more education, experience, and professionalism are left behind while others climb the ladder. The cardiac ICU is unsafe, and I would recommend going to another facility when in need of advanced cardiac care. Just go work at OHSU, because having to pay the extra money in parking is worth being treated like a decent human being. The benefits at Providence are horrible, as well.
