New Hires vs Current Staff

Pros

Good Benefits for insurance, phone discount, 401K plan. Certain departments have workers you respect, other departments are competitive and paranoid.

Cons

Career site scanners hide qualified people. Company would rather have job-jumpers from Microsoft, Intel, Amazon in their PH&S revolving door, than help the loyal employee whose department has downsized, and needs to re-apply for department transfer within company.

Not bad

Pros

Flexible schedule. Good pay. Co workers are supportive of each other’s efforts and function as part of a team

Cons

High management turnover. Los of changes many of which are caused by the tension between creating a centralized system contrasted with a more customized local approach.
