Pros

Providence has great benefits. Tghere is lot of personal satisfaction from being part of an organiozation that provides much needed haelth care to people from all walks of life. One is able to make life long friendships with a number of people.

Cons

There is lack of appreciation or recognition for the individual. There is a lot of differences in the way staff are treated vs the perks available to management.

Leaders not competent at some levels

Pros

Flexible work schedule. Sense of working for something greater due to its mission.

Cons

If you are ok with a "Lifestyle" job and you are OK with just being able to perform "ok" work then this may be the place fore you. But, do not expect understanding for "excellence" which is supposed to be a core value of this organization. They allow poor performers to stay in the organization and suck it dry of productivity. The people who do perform well, get assigned more and more work, with little "sincere" recognition. The Leaders are not competent at some levels and nothing is done about it. So the employees suffer though the lack of clear direction and ability to command respect.

Pros

They want to have a people pleasing environment

Cons

But fail to do so.due to poor management 1. Several issues with immediate supervisors or managers 2 poor pay increases 3. No opportunity for advancement 4 they seem to favor their managers more than the regular staff The staff that actually does the work gets no bonuses and poor raises with no hope of moving forward There are definitely a lot of us that experience burnout Nothing changes on this level And benefits are average
