Pros

Get to work on the latest technologies Just implemented a bonus benefit You can find a better place to work

Cons

The pay ranges: some people way underpaid some way overpaid (for what they do) Feels like favoritism/nepotism type stuff going on: Good ol' boy networking here, promotions without the experience to back it up Waterfall labelled as agile Managers that are never there to lead the group they manage

Pros

The company has a great group of people who truly care about caring for patients. We have great people doing amazing things.

Cons

What disappoints me is the number of reviews posted by providence recruiters who aren't truly reflecting the current state of the health systems. Providence doesn't live up to its mission statement if you aren't in the hospitals. The turnover is horrific, the pay is sub par, the hours are crazy and we are so busy affiliating (buying other health systems) it's a business and not a mission like they say. I have been with providence a number of years and I am looking as with about 50% of the coworkers I know. I used to love my job, but it's a sad place. I hope that leadership some day realizes that the caregivers they call "employees"are people who have lives and problems and stress. Take care of your people and they can better care for our patients.

Pros

mediocre benefits provided dedicated employees lots of locations 1 remote day per week

Cons

Horrible PTO program - must use your own PTO bank for sick leave AND holidays If you haven't accrued enough PTO and a holiday comes, then you work without pay 1-1.5% raises for long-term employees, and not annually or even regularly No merit-based increases, so you better negotiate well
