Pros

The people of Providence are amazing. The mission is alive and palpable, with a culture of doing the right things for the right reasons. Opportunities to advance education and grow professionally are available for those who seek them.

Cons

In an effort to be fiscally responsible, there is constant push to do more with less. Leaders are asked to take on more and more, and support from senior leadership continually decreases as they are stretched thinner as well. Ultimately this is costly, as resolution to issues become slower and caregivers at the bedside lose access and relationships with their leaders. Because of this, employee engagement declines and managing staff becomes more challenging for front line leaders.

Pros

You have employment. That is the only good.

Cons

Employees have no rights. Residents who have addictions and are mentally disabled can make false accusations about staff and the supervisors and administration do not support staff. There is no good rapport with the supervisors. They try to make it like boot camp. Too much turnover in supervisors and admin. Pay is not enough. I'm only giving it one star because I have to in order for this yo post otherwise I would give it no stars at all.

Pros

Work is close to home.

Cons

You are not treated with respect, you are "expected" to take on more work without acknowledgment or pay.
