Great company and values, middle management sucks

Pros

The organization does a great job of communicating and reiterating its mission. I worked with many great people there. Longevity with people at lower-end roles is amazing.

Cons

Salaries aren't anywhere near market rate. The people who stay are the people who care. I cared, until I couldn't pay my rent anymore. Middle management isn't empowered to lead/coach, just "manage", which creates strife among the worker bees. Picture the boss in Office Space with the coffee cup (Lumbergh) - then combine that with long hours and severely low pay.

Pros

Many career opportunities, flexible time, adequate compensation.

Cons

Very clickish, Employees who belong to right group are allowed to behave differently. Slow to change and to implement new ideas.
