Pros

Faith-based organization, immediate supervisor was awesome and very supportive, lots of overtime available, decent pay.

Cons

They do not give you full credit for previous experience and pay raises for non-union employees are non-existent. Very political environment, hasty decision-making or no decision-making at all. There were many times that policies contradicted themselves and prevented personnel from effectively/efficiently performing their duties.

Pros

The people of Providence are hard working good people. There is good cameraderie amongst the staff within departments. The CEO has a vision.

Cons

The Information Services management leaves a lot to be desired. There is so much turmoil that working here is just depressing. Hopefully the new CIO will lift moral that is at an all time low.

Pros

Staff is supportive, skilled, and take care of one another. Just pick a unit that does not have a villian for manager--might be hard

Cons

Many changes---Managers and Directors selected by who you know, not by skills and experience. One in place, not mentored meaning the front line staff deal with the fallout. Upper administration--totally ingrown, incestuous! Worthless.
