Pros

Nothing when I was under a new manager from Providence. First 3 .2 years was excellent in St Joseph Health. Next 8 months was a negative maximum.

Cons

My old ex manager was excellent Team leader, he was the gem of person and not only I have shared with him all issues. He was my buddy for first 2.9 years. Next the problem started when under a new management with Providence. This is what I have observed and felt :- On the other hand I was very unfortunate to have Work under the current ex manager (called as EX in this note) during past several months . As per my analysis , EX managerial attribute's 1.) Cranky control freaks 2.) Crazy micro-managers 3.) Bumbling idiots. EX abused me mentally during the Job during 1 to 1 meetings causing unbearable physical mental stress. I do believe that person like EX should not continue as Manager. No only EX mentally abused me, I came to know that a EX had some issue with a employee working under him when the employee came back from vacation . I inferred that EX does support single leave of few weeks during entire Fiscal year and EX is very furious when someone had to extend vacation only for some days due to the concerned employee’s urgent personal and family reasons and unavoidable circumstances. At time during a Project EX even verbally threatened me to move out of the Project out of no reason. I do not know if that is discriminatory. When asked for functionally help , EX raises his hand but except me to know everything . The problem Is that EX and EX’s Peer they are smartest people in Organization , but facts are otherwise . Such uninspiring peers are super depressing. Any conversation with them will leave you feeling like You just can’t wait to quit the job or move to another team. This is not healthy in any way. As having a clueless manager can be detrimental to you career and peace of mind.

Pros

Providence values its employees and puts funding behind information security and compliance.

Cons

The company's emphasis on Christian beliefs may be a pro to some but was a negative to me. There was a lot of bureaucracy and long lead time to get new projects approved and implemented. There was no clear path to advancement.
