Pros

The doors have code and can lock after dark so that the at least we have a little bit of protection after dark when administration goes home. Especially since we are conveniently located right next to project house where staff members cars are routinely broken or tires slashed. But there are no cameras of course because building is so old they still use (1) yes ONE window AC unit to cool down each hall.

Cons

Abuse, neglect, fraud are common !!!! As a matter of fact management participates and when addressed the DON and Administrator make sure that they call the medical director (House MD to give a telephone order for psychotropic drug to sedate patients or make them out of it) . Then when the family arrives they say they are just tired or stayed up all night. Lets not forget patients being admitted without documentation, nurses working as CNAs due to lack of staff which is daily. Work schedules are fabricated to look one way for the state(DHEC) otherwise it never reflects actual staff . CNA's often work alone on 3-11 and 11-7 shift , so one CNA for about 40 patients per hall. So you can imagine all the bed sores, falls etc. that cant possibly be address , then wound care nurse is treating ALL these wound acquired in the facility but make it look otherwise on paper. As well it is daily that the administrator threatens staff that if the wall AC units are touched then it will be turned off to only make people suffer (how nice ) especially when you have O2 concentrators running making everything hot. But when anything is said about any problem you get moved to another hall, fired, taken off the schedule etc.

Pros

Our team of RN's, LPN,s and CNA's are absolutely the best. Very team oriented, PCC, OC, and TA are great. Office staff/management is exceptional in what they do, back up field personnel, work hard with staff, and are there when you need them.

Cons

Corporate is disconnected from work force, no overtime allowed and director gets an earful if OT does happen. To many patients to staff in a day, especially with the distances many RN's, LPN,s, OT, PT, and CNA,s have to drive. Awarded raises that are later reneged on, to much computer time without getting payed for work done at home. Most workers are on their computers 7 days a week due to load, no boundaries for work and off work time. Expect workers to open computers any time they are called. To much Pruitt U and tenets are a TOTAL waste of time. Only reason I stay is patients and team.

Pros

They hire anyone as long as the credentials are legit. Apparently they don't bother to check with past employers.

Cons

Human Resources has a problem keeping employees private business "Private". Employees are constantly working short of help to manage all residents. Supplies are hard to come by and the pay is ridiculous for all that is expected on any given day.
