Largest wire and cable producer in the globe

Pros

The company has a history in taking a long term view related to employment. If you perform to the established KPI's, the company provides global growth opportunities that many employers can't provide. Leadership provides a strategic approach to Prysmian's medium to long term growth and success as we maintain the status of the "largest wire and cable producer" in the world!

Cons

The company is very lean and resources are hard to come by. The expectations are high and you must do more with less, which makes the work/life balance more challenging.

Pros

Having a good dept. manager, having a good leadman and an overall good group of guys running the lines.

Cons

1. Lack of communication (teamwork). 2. Operators not receiving the proper training that they need, which in turn causes the company more money in SCRAP! 3. PROPER interviewing for positions THROUGHOUT the plant, instead they will let any Joe in the door and if Joe can make it look good on paper, Joe is GUARANTEED to have a job at Prysmian Group, which in ALL, is making my work place suffer.

Supportive colleagues, but toxic environment and favoritism

Pros

Some of if not most people are friendly and supportive. Okay-ish benefits. Slightly better than the average I would say. Flexible hours for flex40 and salary people. In my particular case, they are very flexible when it comes to doctor appointments and kids' activities.

Cons

Emotional and mental damage from a toxic environment. Gossip galore and everyone is eager to point fingers or say "not my job". Managers who literally yell and curse at employees. Everyone is overworked and underappreciated. Sexism runs rampant. Communication between mangers, departments, and floor operators is non-existent. FAVORITISM EVERYWHERE! Certain people are treated differently because they are "in" with the right people in management. No one is treated equally. The machinery on the floor is old and falling apart.
