Despite PHI’s stated mission of supporting public health professionals, there was a noticeable lack of transparency and communication regarding the decision-making process. Employees were left without clear guidance or support, raising concerns about the organization’s commitment to those who have contributed to its mission. A stronger effort to fight for staff retention or transition assistance could have demonstrated true leadership and integrity in crisis management.
