Pros

No one is physically standing over you while you work, You can balance your duties over the day how you see fit. Pays decent. You get to work with some great people. And the majority of the customers are wonderful. You can earn PTO for every hour you work. If available you can be lucky enough to get an almost free apartment. ( some strings attached ). Benefit package is decent. If your a multitasker and very flexable, and great at sales with no commission its a great place!

Cons

If your looking to advance in the company you have to be hired at a District Manager level or higher. Turnover is often in most areas. Expectations are to treat the business as it's your own, but the pay doesn't reflect this. If your lucky, you can get a District Manager that knows how to mold you to the goals needed. Sadly they are stretched over an area that entails them to limit the amount of time they have to work with individual employees. Lots of changes and often. You can be praised on the inhale, and demeaned on the exhale. If your looking for a job for a year maybe two it might be the job for you.

Great Place to Work

Pros

I have been working here for 8 years and it has been one of the best companies i have worked for. The Job security here is great. Most employees have been working here many years. The pay is is competitive. The management is great. Any time i needed help or advice for any level of management, they have been very helpful. All my coworkers are a joy to work with. in my opinion Public Storage treats it's employees very well. Once a month they have a birthday celebration and give prizes and cake to feed the whole corporate office. they also give holiday bonus' and a holiday party.

Cons

I don't have much cons. Maybe they can send more memos let us know how much they appreciate us. Of course even though the pay is competitive, I wouldn't mind receiving better annual increases.

Pros

Usually work by yourself or with one other person. If you're bored in the office you can walk the grounds for lock check to break up the day. Usually not a lot of foot traffic.

Cons

Pay is poor for what they expect you to accomplish. Demand for sales, sales, sales, and do not want to hear excuses for not being able to sell merchandise, insurance, or a lock. Must check in with DM when you complete sales to explain what you could have done better and how you're going to improve and what goals you are setting for yourself. Must use your own car for bank trips and runs on the property to show units if golf cart is down. Nothing seems to be fixed right away. Lots of sales pressure, no commission. Scams for half the items you have to "sell". Scripts you must follow exact and at times they request.
