Pros
Great experience if you apply yourself. Compensated with an apartment if you manage a property.
Cons
Short staffed. For such a profitable company, they pay the store level employees very little. Lower management gets paid little but has to do the dirty work and have all the hard conversations with customers (selling lien property, raising rent 40%, No proration upon vacating, storage break-ins…).
