Pros

Hours, pto, possibility of an apartment, relatively easy work (physically)

Cons

There is no promotions from within the company. If you start as a relief manager the highest position you will ever climb to is a training property manager. They always higher district managers from outside the company who often do not know how storage works. They continuously change the bonus program to benefit company keeping more money in their pockets not their employees.

Pros

I literally can't think of one single reason to recommend working for this company. Of all like ten jobs I've had in my life, this one was worse than all the rest combined!

Cons

Where do I start? They start off in the interview process by selling you on the job the same way they train you to sell to customers. You are told there will be "light" cleaning... That's a severe understatement. Then if you're in a district with many properties they tell you they will keep you in one location closest to your home when they really just toss you wherever they want and you're working three different locations in one week. You're also told you'll be working in a specific location but 5 minutes before you leave your house they say to go somewhere else. When you give your two weeks notice, the distric manager goes around like a 12 year old girl and tells all of your co-workers that you quit. I will NEVER return to this company or recommend working for them OR renting storage space with them.

Pros

If you're able to land a property manager position then you MIGHT get an apartment, and getting an apartment that's basically rent and utility free in NYC is nothing to scoff at.

Cons

The work load is not equal to the amount of money you make. There is an unnecessary amount of stress that is placed on you from the beginning and there is no stable structure to help teach you everything you need to know. You cannot move from property manager to district manager, you have to leave the company for a year to be considered.
