Pros

One of the best things about working for Public Storage is the work and independence. You are allowed to make decisions that affect the company in positive way and earn the respect of management. If you are a good, ethical, and hard worker management will show confidence in yours skills and allow you to grow and earn a good living. I have been with Public Storage for over 20 years and have enjoiyed the business challenges and the opportunities for growth professionally and intellectually.

Cons

Public Storage is a publicly traded company and as such must continue to grow and change in order to be competitive in the real estate market. Some people are not good at adapting to change in the business world and may find it difficult to understand business decisions a company makes to keep it successful.

Pros

Great people, love helping customers when they need it the most. Working at different locations and meeting new people.

Cons

Taking away almost all benefits, low pay, selling high priced packing supplies if they need it or not. And SCRIPTS... Like the customer doesn't know it's a script, they hate it too. But it's all about the money, they even bragged at company party about the obscene amout of money they make DAILY...But only give 2% raises. They won't spend money on repairs like gutters, lets just take them down???

During my 10 years at Public Storage I've had the opportunity to work with incredibly talented people in the both the field organization and the corporate office. I've had the opportunity to take on many roles that were well suited to my talents and skills. Work/life balance is great, and as a corporate employee I've rarely had to work weekends or holidays.

Cons

I would love to see a profit sharing program. In years prior, employees had the option to purchase company stock in their 401K plan, this option no longer exists.
