      Pros

      I have been working for Public Storage for almost a year now and I have to say it's a big step up from the public accounting world. Work hours are 8AM-5PM with minimal overtime required. Great work environment with people who actually love their jobs. Most of the people that I work with have been here for 20+ years. I think the reason Public Storage has such a low turn-over rate is because they really focus on the little things. They provide us with bagels every Friday and even have raffles with cash prizes at our monthly meetings. Although these things seem really simple they help keep up the morale in the office.

      Cons

      The pay is good but could be more competitive. They only give you 3 paid holidays so you have to use PTO if you want other holidays off. People tend to stay with the company for 20+ years so it could be hard to move up within the company.

      Pros

      I worked with smart friendly people who liked their jobs and their bosses.

      Cons

      Tightly controlled company can change focus or direction quickly at the whim of upper management. In my case the board eliminated our department. Typical inter-department competition was present, but not in any way unpleasant. This is a good company to work for.
