Pros

Autonomy. At least, it used to be.

Cons

Almost everything else. Company is allowing the properties to crumble down around their ears, including the newly built properties and the older, acquired properties. PS has eliminated office hours and now requires appointments. PS management is not interested in showing up for these appointments and try to avoid them if possible. Employees are treated with less respect than janitors and at a fraction of the pay. Benefits, if taken, can take up to half of an employee’s pay. Three paid holidays per month and if that day falls on a regular day off, you won’t get paid at all. Reimbursement for travel is almost nonexistent while travel is demanded. I could go on. Keep looking; every other storage company does better by its employees than this one.

Pros

Days go by fast. That's all I can come up with.

Cons

Insurance costs you 40% of your pay. If you live in the apartment you get paid 10- read it- 10 dollars an hour. This leaves many unable to leave bc they cannot afford to. They will also never fix any issues with the apartment, kinda like how they won't pay to fix things on property. Everyone saying there's not much to do, is just not doing what's expected. Not that I blame them, but there is always lots to do. Too much in fact. They will expect you to empty abandoned units so they don't have to pay an outside company. They will ignore all cx complaints, and pm concerns. They won't even let you put presumably items at your desk or use colorful pens or paper. This place sucks. Hard work is rewarded with more work. Dms and above have lots of ideas of how to manage a property, with zero knowledge of how it actually works. I can't wait to quit.

Stay Away, Narcissistic Trap

Pros

Some of the tenets are very nice. Some overtime. Nothing more

Cons

Everything is horrible. I’m not exaggerating!!! You work for lint in your wallet. Corporate’s treatment of It’s employees is that of a domestic abuser, the criminally deranged, like you see on cold case tv shows. Beyond awful. Company culture is false friendship like prison, Bergen-belson, concentration camp. If you are a good worker, stay that way, not here, you get gaslighted, narcissized, abused, lied to, there’s nothing good at all. I’m better off homeless squatting on government land. You loose all dignity and self worth. Your body, mind, emotions go to hades. Everything public storage will twist and distort everything exemplary about stellar employees. Think the regime of Stalin. Dangerous neighborhoods are where the properties are located. Bring your own weapons to protect yourself. You are your only backup. Absolutely calloused, obtuse, management and coworkers. There’s nothing good to be had with this company. Nothing
