In my past review, I didn't offer any downsides, but unfortunately, I must state one; the schedule inconsistency. This is most prevalent for employees who have been working at Publix for multiple years. Basing this criticism off my personal experience, there was a sharp increase in shifts for me during the COVID-19 pandemic, and although sanitizing karts and baskets was a stress-inducing job, the feeling of being a contributor to the prevention of a deadly mass-spreading virus' distribution made it worthwhile. However, now that the pandemic is winding down, the scheduling consistency has returned to its pre-pandemic layout; Now, this is probably because I'm part-time, but sometimes I have half a week's (including weekends) worth of shifts and other times I only have 1 or 2 days per week, and sometimes I'm scheduled for shifts that last long enough to include breaks and other times I'm only scheduled for the 4-hour bare minimum. When I'm only scheduled for 1 or 2 days per week and for the 4-hour bare minimum for each of those days, I can't help but feel underappreciated.
