Pros
-Publix stores are a great environment -Publix hires friendly people so employees get along well -Management is easy to talk to -It is easy to move up into management if you are serious about it -Jobs are secure, Ive never heard of anyone every getting laid off -The pharmacy gives free flu vaccines to all employees -Very flexible schedules, great for students -Usually very lenient when you need time off
Cons
-No employee discount -Some stores, not all, have some bad habits. For example I have worked at two stores, and one of them 4/5 times was late getting blocking started. Instead of getting off work at 11-1130pm sometimes I wouldn't get home until 1-2am on nights I was closing. Which is not helpful for college students. (However Management listens and will make changes if the employees share feedback.)
