      Great place to work as an IT Student at Purdue Libraries Support

      Pros

      Flexibility for students, great pay, and very applicable and valuable skills in IT-- overall an excellent first job for a technology major.

      Cons

      Close to none-- Occasionally picking up some work when people were sick can become an issue in busy times, but you are always appreciated and the Windows Systems Admin who is in charge of overseeing the students is very supportive and helpful.

      Pros

      I attended Purdue as an undergraduate in mathematics. Since its a large university, there are fairly limitless possibilities for both academic and personal exploration and professors will go out of their way to help you find those opportunities. There are plenty of opportunities for student employment. Very strong in engineering and science.

      Cons

      STEM fields are heavily emphasized at the cost of the humanities.

      Pros

      Flexibility and organized work schedule, though may depend on who you are working with. Payed well for the time that I worked, and I was only half-time.

      Cons

      Unclear on complete expectations; in other words, I was given things to do every week or so, but it was unclear on deadlines and other pertinent details of the work.
