Pros

Purdue University is one of the best places for doing research. I worked on a individual project which sponsored by 3M company for six months and made some progress with the help from my mentor. It was a unforgettable experience.

Cons

Maybe the city is not with many entertainment places, but it is quite peaceful.

Getting your tuition paid for is the biggest pro of this job. Hours aren't terrible either as you only have to hold office hours for 4 hours per week.

Cons

You have to prepare quizzes for the students twice a week and grade them yourself. Also sometimes students come to class without questions which makes it tough to gauge where they are having problems.
