      Teaching while in my Master's program was a great learning experience and income resource.

      Pros

      The environment of the department I was a part of continuously shows they're care for the people around them. Teaching in this department was not only beneficial to my learning experience, it also helped me form connections with professors and other colleagues.

      Cons

      Graduate teaching is only temporary and part time pay. It also requires a lot of time to grade papers, create syllabi, and prepare class discussions. However, they experience is worth having.

      Pros

      Great deal of diversity. Staff is knowledgable in a wide array of areas and topics. Great place to increase your network. There is a variety of support options and great compensation/benefits for the work done.

      Cons

      There are minimal downsides. In my specific area, University Residences, there is often a lack of organization, but that is usually due to the dynamic and unpredictable nature of incidents that must be corrected.
