Pros

Top-notch engineering education is offered from PU, always ranked high for engineering school. Tuition is manageable due to it nature of being state university. Quiet and academically focused environment encourages more work output. Professors and colleagues are very supportive.

Cons

University is located in very small town. If you are looking for a city life, this place is very opposite of that. Just like any other universities, current national economy status makes harder for graduate students to receive teaching assistantship.

Pros

Pros - nationally recognized scholars - great professional opportunities - large international population (ton of authentic ethnic cuisine on and off campus) - low cost of living

Cons

Cons - you have to live in Indiana - very competitive graduate programs (cut-throat atmosphere) - politics (but, honestly, academic politics are rough & tumble @ a lot of universities)
