Pros

The people are great, however they are all over worked and can't handle their work load. Email remain unresponsive, support is lacking, and turnover is high. Can't keep track of who is responsible, and no one is accountable.

Cons

President remains in the stone ages, tools and resources are lacking, no accountability, poor communication, no budget, demoting people to fill positions, losing people and not replacing positions.

Pros

Excellent delivery network in Canada means service levels are strong. Commitment of front line customer service folks is commendable and the efforts a some key subject matter experts hold the organization together.

Cons

President of the US division is a major factor holding the company back. He is out of touch with modern company cultures and is living in an era that is at least 20 years out of date. Micro management, blaming, limited trust and stone age IT solutions. What could be such a strong company is poorly led and from the top. Constant directional changes show zero vision, recent (multiple) rounds of layoffs shows that it isn't working.

A Solid Company that Feels Like Family

Pros

It is unfortunate that there have been some negative reviews about Purolator International on Glassdoor, as they do not reflect our overall employee engagement. The culture here is tightly-knit, entreprenurial, and generally collaborative. If you have good ideas to improve the business and offer solutions for customers, you will be heard.

Cons

This industry has generally not kept up in terms of benefits and the type of flexibility that may be common in tech, healthcare, etc. Also it can be isolating for some employees who don't work at one of the district or headquarters offices, but there have been some more steps to address that through teleconferences, site visits, training opportunities, etc.
