Progressive company with a vision to lead the market in the package delivery and transportation industry in Canada. Employees are very loyal to the company, and there is a family atmosphere. The new CEO and his senior leadership team are highly motivated for growth and profitability as well as for the welfare of the employees and social responsibility. All in all, a good company to work for.

Cons

Although it is a private corporation, the company is mostly owned by the parent company who is a Canadian Crown Corporation. This often results in some added bureaucracy, public sector-like rules, and risk adverse decisions, making the company less nimble and aggressive in a highly competitive marketplace.

High degree of autonomy on the job. If you perform well you will be left to do the job the way you see fit.Great "can do" culture. Tight / good working relationships at same co-workers levels.

Cons

Inconsistent message about strategy and cutting back to make plan. Always seems to be a crisis. Opportunities for promotion feel limited. Feels like majority of senior management are hired from outside the company.
