Grossly understaffed and funded. The property I worked at was in need of a renovation for years but getting money for capital items seemed to be like pulling teeth. Company culture presented by the corporate office never trickled down to the property level.

The rooms in the hotel I was in could not be updated because it was not a priority to the hotel management group (PHG). They looked as if a throwback to the 80's and had none of the amenities people require when traveling (like a flat screen TV- seriously). Without updated rooms the hotel lost a diamond shortly after I found another company to work for. Getting a diamond back is very difficult, and the hotel eventually had to be sold at auction. Lots of people were laid off, so clearly there were some poor decisions made.
