Fantastic management, willing to work with and mentor employees, and implement changes to programs' structure. Flexibility of pay and PTO is great. However...

Cons

If you are not financially secure to handle layoffs and work around unemployment until they can bring you back aboard, this may not be the job for you. Management is willing to send employees abroad (intercontinental or overseas) for work, but if you have responsibilities at home, you may miss out on those opportunities.

QED has offered me many opportunities to further my career in the ship repair industry. the team we have here is a family away from family. I'm proud to be able to say I can count on my coworkers for support. they offer benefits as well as encourage and support employees to further there skills and trades.

Cons

There is down time in between ships if your not willing to travel you wont have hours.

Family Oriented, a small company that cares about its employees. Working Atmosphere is excellent. Given the latitude to make things happen and senior management is ready to assist if troubles encountered. People are great throughout the company. Work areas are excellent.

Cons

Benefits Package: 401K match is only matched once per year. Match is very low compared to other companies in area.
