Many company initiatives like compliancy, development that are overworking Engineering staff. Engineering is dumping ground for most initiatives. Promotions based on politics rather then how well one can do the job No allegiance to employee's with past accomplishments. Upward promotions is based on how well one plays the game, not on ones ability to get job done. Very little technical understanding or ability outside engineering staff. Managagement at VP/EVP level over engineering has no technical understanding of what engineers do or the resources needed to run department. Overworked, underappreciated attitude toward engineering is causing most to look for new jobs. Inconsistend promotion practices. Some VP's have been promoted by appointment while others go through numerous interview rounds. .
