Pros

Work-life balance. Very few people work past 5pm. 3 weeks paid vacation + paid holidays and sick days. Opportunity to move around and learn different areas due to heavy employee turn-over and limited worker knowledge.

Cons

Very behind the times with technology. QVC is too focused on their TV channel. Don't get eCommerce/internet/apps. Not a company for hard workers and go-getters. It's a very safe place to work if you want to sleep for the next 20 years. I came in fairly entry level and quickly gained the respect of all immediate colleagues/managers. But you will never be compensated fairly as your skills/knowledge advance. I worked unpaid overtime on a regular basis and did whatever it took to meet unreasonable deadlines for too long. Your direct managers are mostly good but HR and management several levels above you (who barely know you exist) control your salary. Don’t trust senior leadership or HR! What you're paid going in is what you'll get when you leave. Pro tip! If you say you're leaving HR will immediately offer a decent pay bump (5-10k), but if you're serious about leaving it doesn't matter anyway. Everyone young/talented is planning their exit strategy.
