Pros

Easy interview process and easy foot in the door. Lots of other young college grads so its not overwhelming old like the target demographic.

Cons

Not very modern, and doesn't like to change anything. The business makes IT decisions and that is never a good thing when the business has so much tech debt to deal with already.

Nice place to work

Pros

The work environment is great, and pretty laid back. The company attracts a lot of good people to be around and work with. The facilities are nice and they are modernizing more each year. Within my group there's always been a nice ebb and flow of crunchy challenging work and a more eased relaxed pace. Not every development group's experience is the same but that's the general tone of the place.

Cons

Some of the tech platforms are older and not upgrading anytime soon. There's a mix of modern solutions and legacy platforms that aren't retired yet. As a large company where most actions can impact day to day sales there's a lot of caution towards trying new things or doing anything that could impact the live site. The company appreciates passion but ultimately at the developer level you won't have much pull to make impactful changes to processes or technologies.
