Pros

Great place to work if you're an alcoholic or on work release. If you're able to navigate tricky policies, good place to get your feet wet and start an apprenticeship in a skilled trade with little formal experience (no tool budget though, they pay you poorly and don't pay for any tools while the job demands a wide array of them)

Cons

Terrible middle and corporate management. Non competitive pay. Training program is based on Sussex location, Pewaukee and Lomira have entirely different manufacturing processes and equipment. Machine repair is overwhelmed with facility maintenance. Middle management is petty and tends to be non professional, if you're good at a job they will try to pigeonhole you into it so that you can't grow.

Unstable job

Pros

Never know if you will get to work at your own plant or work at all when things get slow. Never know when layoffs will happen and if you will have your job still at the end of the day. They like to keep felons, military people, pedophiles, people with disabilities all because they get a tax break for people like that. I have seen great workers with great attendance and performance get laid off before people with poor attendance and bad work ethic all because they get a tax break on that person. Poor management doesn't listen to your ideas. Won't pay you your vacation if you quit or get fired or laid off. Stay away if you value job security

Cons

Did I mention no breaks unless you're a jogger?

Pros

Good insurance (Blue Cross Blue Shield). 401k match. Opportunity for overtime comes and goes. Warm place to work in the winter.

Cons

Inhumane conditions in summertime. Keeping doors closed to keep people inside (they claim safety as a reason) is more important than offering a bit of ventilation. Opportunities to move up or into another area are held 'close to the vest' ... ie...job not posted then that certain someone happens to get another position. It's happened more than once in this location. (Effingham)
