Corporate Trainee

Pros

The Trainee Program is a great opportunity to get your feet wet in many different departments of the company. The people in the program, along with alumni, become immediate friends in and out of the work place. Every trainee has their own path of rotations which means not everyone has the same experience. Trainees are able to feed off each other to discover their niche. Networking is the most important skill a trainee must have in order to get the rotations they are interested in.

Cons

A trainee may be placed in a rotation they are not interested in, in order to have the knowledge to be placed in a rotation that they would like to graduate in. The program coordinators do the best they can placing trainees in rotations that they are interested but its usually last minute. Trainees have to be flexible in where they live and what their rotations require of them. Many of the rotations out of state have been temporarily terminated due to cut backs.

Pros

None. Nothing more than a paycheck. Do not work here period. Nothing pro about this company at all. Avoid at all cost. Do not even think it over. Not even for a second.

Cons

Low pay. Vanishing benefits. Inept Supervisors. Punishing physical labor.

Pros

Fitness center. Nice people to work with. On site medical. IT help desk was extremely helpful. Review process was straightforward.

Cons

Raises were terrible. You could work hard and be praised by your boss and his boss and then not get a raise because paper prices went up or they spent too much money on a goat house for Gruff the goat. It was a big old boys club. If you played golf and drank beer and was one of the cool guys you could really get ahead there. If you worked hard but didn't do these things, you got nothing.
