      Lower Management needs to mature more

      Pros

      Good pay and benefits. Fairly flexible work environment. There is a lot of growth that is happening so the jobs are stable. Senior management (Directors, VPs, etc) are reasonable and seem to be easy to approach and work with.

      Cons

      They don't believe in working from home, though some teams do it anyway. Regardless of what they say, you are expected to be on call 24/7. There are no SLAs in place for any system. Because of this stress levels are very high. Some managers are very good, others are horrible and should not be in the role given to them. All decisions come from a small group at the top so don't expect to make a real change in procedures or projects. You would do good to just keep your head down and do your work.

      promise you something big, but lack of support and mostly people from HQ doesn't give a chance and trust to personnel below.

      Good Company with movement in the right direction

      Pros

      A solid company that runs its corporate division as a servicing and hold company for its subsidiaries. Their place in their market is exceptional and the company is branching out into new initiatives. Upper management is great with people oriented mentality which allows the employee to feel like they a part of something bigger. Great company team building and long standing traditions.

      Cons

      IT Department middle management is very micro-managed and usually causes isolation between the different IT teams which setups double-standards, possible conflicts, and brings down moral. Other departments middle management has no employee isolation issues and no negative feedback has been observed.
