Strong team, but poor leadership in quantum computing

Business Outlook

Pros

Great team, apart from senior management

Cons

The CEO doesn't seem to know what he is doing. He is surrounded by non-technical people on the board and fails to distinguish what is genuinely important in the field of quantum computing. This leads to an over-reliance on advice from the American hardware team while neglecting the theory teams in the UK, which has already resulted in major strategic mistakes

Pros

Interesting problems, real science, nice colleagues

Cons

Insufficient job security, too much pressure that is grounded in commercial interests rather than technical milestones.
