      Pros

      Benefits are competitive. Low amount of layoffs with frontline staff (because there is no need with a turnover so high, they continuously find better jobs outside of the company) Size: you can grow within this company if you are willing to consider all locations. Competitive pay (the trap).

      Cons

      Unprofessional management. Management by scolding and belittling employees and other management was supposed to have phased out decades ago. More time spent passing blame than solving problems (most problems structural as well as the above mentioned). Employees (management) with poor performance not being pushed to improve, not being held accountable for goals or even minimum standards.

      Pros

      Quest is a great company to work for, excellent benefits and employee health perks such as free blood tests, fitness plans, etc.

      Cons

      Too many directors and VPs.

      Pros

      The people at the heart of the company (formerly Celera) are fantastic--from Mfg. to QC to Shipping, all great people. Work/Life balance is great.

      Cons

      Management does not share anything with employees until rumors have been swirling for so long that everyone is on edge. Ex: Berkeley Heart Lab is being axed from Quest--nobody knew. Vacation time is absolutely terrible--6 paid holidays? Who does that? Time clocks rounded to the minute? Absolutely demoralizing. I've heard similar things from others with Quest who work (or have worked) in Quest lab services. Definitely NOT one of the "best companies to work for." Steer clear.
