Pros

The job itself is fine, although I think that poor management is tolerated for far too long.

Cons

The HR department is the most incompetent, disgraceful, and infuriating body I have ever worked with. They close tickets just to get them off their plate without bothering to ask themselves if it makes sense to close it, they submit benefits paperwork wrong all the time costing employees many hours and dollars trying to get health coverage, they are slow (benefits reps have 5 days to look at your ticket so if one of them closes it because of laziness or incompetence you might be stuck for another five days before getting anywhere). They mess up status changes and PTO payouts and basically everything I have ever needed a ticket for. I cannot believe the experience here, every ticket in the several years I've worked here has required multiple reopenings and escalations to fix. Such a big company should have a functioning HR department.

Pros

Interesting work and the opportunity to be at the center of the action during the pandemic. Some people are really nice. There are a lot of long-term employees.

Cons

The pandemic has really brought to light how this company and its senior management are spineless. They push uneccessary tests, claim that COVID-19 tests will keep you safe for travel, etc. etc. The worst thing is the lack of a vaccine mandate. This is a healthcare company that doesn't believe in science. They won't require people to get vaccinated. Even McDonalds requires people to get vaccinated. They do not care about the heros that have given their all during this trying time. There is a way to stop the spread, its called a vaccine. They think there are "good people on both sides" of the vaccine debate. False.

Cons

The managers allow the bullies to bully the new hires and rely only on the feedback of the bullies when it comes to making decisions. The managers, all they care is the numbers, workload, not you. If you know what you’re going to bring to the table, you’re skilled and smart enough, you don’t want to work in the environment that force you to overwork for slacker. If you’re trying to prove you’re an excellent worker, then you’re going to get more and more works, no one appreciates no matter how good you’re. Managers, supervisors, lead tech will get the compliments.
