I started out as a float for Quest, and after about 7 months a site I had floated at wanted to see if I'd come back permanently, and so I did. At about the 5th month trouble began. There were many things I had never been taught, and I have no idea why it took that long for them to notice I wasn't doing things that I should have been. There were problems with this account way before I was there. I was the 6th phlebotomist in a span of about a year to not work out at this site. I know a lot of their problems with Quest that had nothing to do with me. I know of one instance that a swab was sent for std's on a 12 year old girl. I didn't send that swab. At times I wasn't there the office would collect specimens after I left for the day. That swab came back positive, and CPS was called. This caused that patient and her family so much unnecessary stress. There were also constant issues with my computer going down, and had to do everything manually, which was very time consuming, and I'd have 3-4 patients waiting on busy days sometimes. My cutoff for patients was a half hour before leaving for te day, but I would still collect it for them almost every time they asked. In the end I couldn't defend myself against the things they said I did, but I didnt do. I had no witnesses for the things that were happening because everyone there is so afraid of getting fired, but they knew, and they were treated the same way. I reached my end when their supervisor came in yelling at me where patients right outside the door could hear. It was a mutual agreement with Quest that I no longer work there
