Pros

I'ts a solid company that is in the black and growing. They only promote from within and have a very strong culture.

Cons

They try to tell you up front that expect a lot, but it's hard to comprehend just how much that is until you are there. If you are young and can work your way up, it's fine. If you have a family, you will miss them.

Pros

I have worked for QuikTrip since 2009, and in these past couple years I've been able to take up to 3 months off to go do what I love and work at a summer camp. They will work around school schedules, and other opportunities that interest you that will take time away from QuikTrip.

Cons

If you don't like a fast paced work environment, you won't like this job. Fortunately, I love to be busy and moving all the time so this job is great for me. I don't have many complaints other than that I have been a Part Time Clerk for QuikTrip since 2009 and I have begun to lose interest in being the best I can be, but the managers and supervisors have great insight and can see when an employee loses interest and encourages moving up in the company, if the potential is seen in the employee.

Pros

Good benefits and you will get in good shape because they are going to work you to the bone.

Cons

The starting pay is tempting at 36,000 for assistant managers. But the hours are terrible and 36,000 is not enough money to compensate for what this job does to your life. As an assistant you start out working close to home and the hours you signed up for. After they have you working for a while, they will move you to a ghetto store 45 min. or more from your house where people try to steal from you on an hourly basis. Your manager will suggest that you need to do what you have to get promoted and that means working off the clock to meet the unreasonable expectations of the company. This means that you will have 48 hours paid, 10 hours drive time, and 4+ unpaid. The store managers will work you at an abusive level, but it is because they are getting worked by their supervisors at an abusive level. Bottom line: if you have to have the money work here for a little while but keep looking.
