Pros

you get to meet all kinds of people and the bonus checks every six months are pretty decent if you have been there for a while.

Cons

very hard to get anywhere, you could be stuck in the position that you are in for years with no promise of a promotion. there are no pay increases, you will make the same amount as a brand new clerk that knows nothing about the job.

Pros

Good pay when bonuses are factored in. Monthly evaluations are great, feedback is given from the store manager to help employees prosper. Co-workers are friendly and helpful. Get to work at many different stores, the constant change of enviroment kept the job from becoming boring. The stores are almost always fast paced, which makes the day go by very quickly. As a smoker, it was nice to be able to get several smoke breaks each shift even though you had to be doing something outdoors. Plus, you get free fountain drinks and coffee! Quiktrip employees are known for being some of the best workers around, you can take pride in your job and it looks great on a resume.

Cons

As gas prices continue to rise, not being compensated for milage made the job much less profitable. Like all retail jobs, you have to be able to deal with large array of customers...but at QT some of the customers can be frustratingly difficult and sometimes harassing. It can be difficult working 8 hours a day on feet. I was often worn out by the end of the day from being expected to complete DAW, store upkeep, and having to drop any activity to be on registers when at understaffed stores. My biggest complaint is how breaks work, you are not allowed to leave the store and may have to help on registers while eating. Sometimes breaks were practically non-existent.

Pros

QuikTrip cares more about their employees than anything else. As a store manager I love that I have 2 days a month to do nothing else but talk to my employees and train. QuikTrip pays employees well, and expects a lot from them. Fast-paced atmosphere and better, cleaner, nicer stores attract nice happy customers that are overall an absolute pleasure to work for. No politics perioid.

Cons

Cookie cutter stores limit versatility in locations built. Bonuses disappear when gasoline is not profitable. Upper management becomes disconnected over time.
