Pros

Quiktrip gives amazing bonuses and that almost always makes up for any negatives. Since the beginning of the year I have already received around $1500 in various bonuses including a two and a half year anniversary bonus of around $600. You get a bonus every six months for just working there that increases the longer you work there. I have developed a good relationship with the people I work with, so it makes the experience better and more tolerable. I feel comfortable enough to call various supervisors and department heads when an issue needs to be addressed and they always make themselves available. Schedules are extremely flexible, especially if you are a Relief Clerk like I am, it gives you the freedom to pick and choose your best schedule for the most part. As for time off, generally if you request off at least two weeks in advance you will get off. You get 15 days you can call in a rolling year. Partial Shift off options. They really give you a lot of wiggle room at Quiktrip which is a huge plus. The harder you work, the more you are rewarded.

Cons

You don’t get breaks, which after three years I’m used to so it’s not that big of an issue. Usually you can ask your manager if you can have a few minutes to eat in the back while it’s slow and they don’t have an issue. The management you deal with will really make or break your experience, there are definitely a few that are notoriously disliked and you can generally stay away from them. For the most part, most management isn’t too terrible. It does feel a little bit like it takes over your life, you constantly get texts from people trying to get you to take their shifts or, if you work at one store, they will call you on your day off trying to get you to come in, which is good if you’re trying to make some money. It is definitely not the job for you if you don’t have a good work ethic and can tolerate standing for long periods of times and dealing with abhorrent customers. It is not a job for the weak, that is for sure.

Pros

Pay is good hours are good. Get free drinks during the clock. Its a good workout with running around a lot

Cons

Too fast paced. Some employees were rude to me during training and the managers didn’t really care or do anything about it.
